A lovely show, all the more so for being unexpected. We have no blooming trees yet, still too cold. It snowed yesterday but I am ever hoping for spring to arrive here.
Christine in Alaska
Hello Christine! Thanks for stopping by! We have some associates up your way, they are ready for spring, too!
Cheers,
David J.
Very pretty!
Thank you! Your site is very nice as well!

I forgot to also ask about what looks like duck weed floating on the water surface. What type of plant is it? Duck weed is smooth edged and glossy looking. This plant looks to be tiny leaves floating (possibly there is a delicate stem underneath that cannot be seen).
Thank you,
Joel
Hey Joel,
Yeah, that stuff is the bane of my existence in that water garden. My wife likes it, I hate it. We call it duckweed as well. Not sure what it really is. It just floats on top and reproduces like mad. It does have a short stem on the back. It starts out green, and will turn reddish late in summer. Not sure if it changes due to climate or age of the plant. I try to keep it scooped out, but it is hard to stay ahead of. It will take over. I did not purposefully put it in there. It often comes in ridding on new plants where it was floating where ever they were living. It does help block sunlight, so the algae stays down, but….
