About Us

Welcome to the Pebble Path Gardens blog! Pebble Path Gardens is the name we have given to our bit of land on this earth in Jefferson, Georgia.  Like most blogs, this site was initially envisioned to be a place to post and share pictures and stories related to the small gardens located around our home with family and friends.  But while thinking about this site and the gardens, we realized that the gardens are really just the center of so much of our life and what we like to do and share.  So we expanded our limits and decided on the tag line “Celebrating Life Through Pictures and Words” to better represent our purpose here.  Throughout this site you will find pictures and articles related to all types of gardening, as well as food, wine, entertaining, maybe some travel, and the occasional random thought or observance on life in general.  Please know we are not experts on any of these topics, so you will not necessarily see a lot of lofty scientific language, best gardening practices, or even good advice in general.  Just the thoughts and experiences of three people, enjoying life through trial and error, and sharing it all with you.

By the way, I’m David, and I do most of the hard labor in the gardens and the technical work for this site. My wife Cindy is the designer and artist behind the gardens, and the photographer of most all the pictures you will see.  Besides the gardens, we love to cook, eat, entertain, and tackle most any type of home improvement project.  You will see posts from us both from time to time.  There is also Ian, our son, who is the chief taste tester and all around do all helper of the gardens.

So again, Welcome!  We hope you enjoy our site and find a little something for yourself within it as well.

Cheers,

David, Cindy & Ian

  • Hi, Cindy, David and Ian. I’m tickled to see another Georgia garden blog show up on Blotanical. Be sure to click on the Help tab at Blotanical if you haven’t done so and read the FAQs. It’ll help you find you way around. I read them 3 times, when I was new to the site.

I agree with your statement that our gardens are the center of our lives. Mine certainly is.

  • Hello, Nell! Thanks for stopping by! Great garden you have going there! Love the poppies.

    Cheers,
    David J.

I am enjoying exploring your website. We work with people everyday and don’t realize the individual interesting lives all around us that we don’t usually get to share. It was nice to put faces to the Johnson family. Hopefully this will inspire me to expand my outdoor gardening techniques since I am a Walter Reeves Saturday morning junkie! :o )

    Hello David,
I enjoyed looking at your website. The gardens look great. I found you website off your LinkedIn profile. Haven’t seen you since leaving Siemens in 2001, but you look the same. Take care,

    Steve
